Who we are

inlaw provides career tools for in-house lawyers, including profiles, job matching, articles and downloadable resources. Questions about these terms: hello@inlaw.co.uk.

Acceptance

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using inlaw you confirm that you accept these terms and will comply with them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service.

Your account

• Provide accurate details and keep them up to date.
• One account per person; don't share your credentials.
• Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
• Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, mirror, reverse engineer or resell any part of inlaw.
• Upload unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory or infringing content.
• Attempt to bypass authentication, access controls or another user's data.
• Upload a CV or personal details that are not yours to share.
• Use inlaw or its AI features to build a competing dataset or product.

Content you provide

You keep ownership of the content you upload — your CV, profile, saved items, and any articles you publish. You grant inlaw a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display that content solely to operate and improve the service you have signed up for, including running the AI job-matching features. You confirm you have the right to grant that licence.

AI features

Match scores, generated summaries and other AI outputs on inlaw are assistance, not advice. They can be wrong or incomplete. Please verify anything material before you rely on it, and do not treat them as legal, career or investment advice.

Purchases and subscriptions

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• One-off digital products such as the Qualification & Training Record are a permanent download tied to your account.
• Digital content is delivered immediately. By starting the download you agree to begin performance straight away and acknowledge that your right to cancel under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations is lost once the download begins.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in pounds sterling. inlaw is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged and the price shown is the price you pay.

Third-party services

inlaw relies on third parties to run — including Stripe for payments and Lovable Cloud for hosting, authentication, database and email delivery. Your use of inlaw is also subject to those providers' terms.

Availability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change or withdraw features and may take the service down for maintenance without notice.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, inlaw is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of or damage to data arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

Termination

You may stop using inlaw at any time and delete your account from your profile. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other users or the service.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged in-app and take effect for continued use after the update date shown at the top of this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
